 History:

Wat first came to the attention of the RCMP in 1938 when he was working as a bush pilot in Northern Ontario & Quebec.  His main client, Adanac New Gold, hired his services in order to deliver their gold to Toronto for deposit.
It was on one of these flights that his aircraft went missing and
 was presumed lost.

In 1941 wat re-appeared on the island of Malta in RAF uniform flying in defense of the island.  He experienced considerable
success in air combat destroying numerous German and Italian aircraft.
One comment believed to be stated by him was "I hate to shoot down those Macchi's, they look so good, but what the hell, he..he...". Wat ran into trouble with his commanders on Malta because of his insistence upon taking his dog, a Basenji named Kodi, in his aircraft.
He claimed that the dog could see the Messerschmitts before he could, the dog would apparently "yodel" when he dispatched yet another Axis fighter.
Later during fighter sweeps over Sicily he claimed Kodi always carried an extra "Steaming bomb" for Mussolini.  After Kodi delivered a bomb in the boot of the Wing Commander in Malta wat was no longer allowed to fly with the dog.
Shortly thereafter the RAF reported him AWOL.

The RCMP is interested in locating wat and determining the location of his missing aircraft and the gold it was carrying.  Attached is the only known photo of wat. At this time he has apparently shot down 4 Axis planes and one asparagus.
